2. Telltale Signs of the Uninitiated Man

A boy has a lot to learn in his journey to becoming a man, and it takes the active intervention of father figures and the fellowship of other men to guide us along the way. In this episode, Brett and Perry begin looking at the six stages of the masculine journey as laid out by John Eldredge in Fathered by God and what it means to actively initiate our own children through those stages in a healthy, life-giving way. They open up about ways they still feel "unfinished" in their own lives from not having been properly initiated through one or more of the stages and discuss practical ways we can all find the healing and guidance we need to father from a place of wholeness ourselves.

In future episodes, we will be inviting special guests to the show to help unpack key aspects of each of the stages of a man's journey: Boyhood, Cowboy, Warrior, King, Lover, and Sage. We invite you to grab a copy of Fathered by God and go through it with us. We're confident that you'll benefit from each of these discussions whether you've read the book or not, so be sure to FOLLOW the podcast and join us whenever you're alerted that a new episode has dropped!
