8. Birds, Bees, and Roosters

One of the most important responsibilities of a father is to educate his sons about sex. But how? At what age? What message should a father endeavor to get across? And how can he have "the talk" without it coming across as weird or unnatural?

Brett and Perry tackle these important questions head-on in this episode. They reflect on how they were — or were not — initiated about sex by their own fathers and share first-hand stories about the conversations they've already had about sex with their own boys. Our kids are going to learn about sex somewhere — and sooner than we may realize. It's our job as fathers to make sure they come to understand God's plan for sex, not popular culture's, so that they eventually experience sex in a life-giving way.

Note: A great resource for helping your sons learn to delay gratification — including sexual gratification — for a sweeter reward in the future is Jordan Kemper's Red Key Revolution.
