48. Forgiving a Father Who Hurt You, with Pastor James Seiler

All too often, fathers hurt their kids. Sometimes intentionally, sometimes unintentionally. Either way, the impact is profound. Father woundings run deep, and they hold us back from living the fullness of the life we’ve been called to — unless we’re able to release the offense through the power of forgiveness. That’s not easy to do, of course. But it’s necessary. Joining us in this episode is Pastor James Seiler of Authentic Church who opens up about the ways his fathers hurt him and explains how he was able to get to a place where he could forgive them — and the healing that occurred for both him and his fathers as a result of that forgiveness. The idea of forgiving a father who hurt you can seem impossible. After listening to this conversation, you’ll see that it’s not only possible, but essential, and you’ll be equipped with some tools to help you take the next step.
